Residing in breathtaking Colorado, award winning artist Kristal Wick is a designer and teacher for Swarovski Crystal Company. Kristal’s creations are currently represented in galleries spanning the globe including Canyon Rd. - Santa Fe, Alaska, Cayman Islands, Italy, Germany & the Virgin Islands. Kristal’s other design projects include inventing Sassy Silkies™, hand painted silk scroll beads, as well as designing & creating jewelry for the Jimmy Buffet Band backup singers & dancers!

Kristal has been featured on HGTV and has regular appearances on PBS. Her designs have been featured in over 29 publications including: Belle Armoire, Lapidary Journal, Stringing, Beadwork, Bead Style, Crafts Business, Simply Beads, SewNews, Sewing Savvy, Piecework, Step by Step Beads, Crafts Report Vogue Patterns, & Bead Unique. I believe our souls crave beauty, creativity & peace, particularly in troubled times. My art is a culmination of life experiences. My role as an artist is a creative catalyst - my goal is to inspire & nurture creativity in young & old.

I intention inspirational thoughts and vibrations while creating my work. The colors and textures shape themselves. I simply facilitate the creative process. Once the energy is captured within a piece of art, you can feel it radiate and breathe on its own. Kristal Wick Creations & The Sassy Silkies™ Story

Kristal Wick Creations was launched in 1995; the Colorado based company is the invention of founder and chief designer Kristal Wick. With a 16 year career in Corporate America craving a more creatively fulfilling lifestyle, Kristal woke up one day and questioned “Is this all there is?”. Shortly after she decided to follow her bliss and take the plunge in 2004 applying her skills full time to the art, jewelry & fashion world; thus Sassy Silkies™ were born.

The inspiration for Sassy Silkies™, hand painted silk scrolls, came when Kristal heard multiple customer comments requesting a lighter weight design for jewelry, particularly earrings.

After years of heavy “dangle-earring-abuse” earlobes were complaining! So Kristal spent some time in R&P mode (Research & Play) and introduced the elegance of silk to her jewelry line. Within a few months her innovative silk scroll jewelry was born and she is happy to report they weigh next to nothing, are colorful and sacred all rolled up in one unique scroll.
